If you wheel your Bullnose long enough, you'll find the OEM bracket is a weak link. Don't wait until it happens to you! The ears are notorious for breaking off at inopportune moments, leaving your steering box dangling.
Why? The OEM construction is thinner than earlier mounts. Also, there's only provision to use 3 of the 4 box mounting bolts, leaving it mounted with a pretty small triangular pattern. Consequently, the increased leverage from larger tires & lockers causes them to fail.
Our answer? A lasercut steel & fully MIG welded assembly that allows for all 4 of the box bolts to be used, while fitting within the same space as the OEM bracket! The main plate is 3/8" thick (you won't be breaking any ears here!), with the balance being 1/4" thick. Compatible with either power or manual Saginaw steering gearboxes. Spacers & mounting hardware included.
Brackets are shipped fully welded and unfinished. Some installations may require grinding the crossmember above the fluid couplings (for wrench clearance). Also, light grinding of the bracket may be required for proper fitment prior to installation.
